skiing at arctic valley 1/17/10One of the many great things about growing up in Michigan is that you have a license to scoff at any complaints about the skiing conditions.  Since coming back I’ve heard nothing but complaints of either wind, rain or ice, yet every day that I have been out since  been fantastic.  Today Hunter and I went up to Arctic Valley for a short tour. At the area there wasn’t more the 20 people riding the lifts and plenty of good turns to be had.  Hunter and I found some creamy north facing snow, enjoyed the sunshine and were pleasantly surprised by how deep it was.  Hunter snapped the photo above, and I may have some video coming, although it’s not too exciting.  I love winter.
